Description
This little sound card can be used stand alone with just one sound or multiple sounds when controlled by a microcontroller like an Arduino. Has 4MB on board memory easily accessible via the Micro USB connector and the included Micro USB cable. The board only needs 5V to work via the +5v and GND pinsf, use our USB power cord to power this board from any 5V 2A USB phone charger. This board is offered unsoldered with the header pins included for you to solder up or you can get it with the headers pins pre-soldered and tested.
If you chose to control the board via an Arduino you will need to add the controlling software to your library. The included instructions explain how to do this.
If you want to use this board without a controller for just a single sound all you have to do is ground the PO1 pin via a button or relay and the first file copied to the onboard memory will play.
The board also offers a “BUSY” pin. This pin remains HIGH until a sound is played at which time the pine goes LOW. Once the sound file stops play the pin goes back to HIGH. This is perfect for activating a relay while the sound is playing. Our signal activated relays are perfect for this type of affect. If you are using an Arduino you can use this pin to read if the sound is still playing.
This board also offers an onboard 3W audio amplifier for audio out. Sound is accessible via the two mono audio pins (SPK-, SPK+) for connection to a 3W speaker. The two DAC pins (DAC_L, DAC_R) allow you to output the sound to amplified speakers, like computer speakers, for enhanced and loud sound.
